A politician is anyone who runs for a government seat.
…or their spouse, apparently, if this is true.
By this logic, a politician who dies in office would have their office filled by their spouse as well, I guess?
de la Torre’s decision to defy the subpoena gave the committee little choice but to seek contempt charges.
Sounds like we’ve still got a ways to go before we get to the FO portion of FAFO.
Someone wake me up if it ever gets there…
When republicans, especially Trump, are pressuring you to step down, you know you fucked up.
Ignoring the rest of the story which is nuts itself, this bit at the end just boggles my mind:
According to elections expert Andy Jackson […] "In other instances when, say a candidate dies before Election Day, the candidate's name remains on the ballot and the candidate's widow or widower would get the votes and serve the term,"
Why on earth would the votes go to someone who likely isn’t even a politician, nor likely expressed any interest in holding the position?
I think political debate is important but Robinson is not a serious candidate. He’s a performative troll; not a politician.
You said you blocked me personally, but I guess that was a lie too.
It didn’t happen in one of your communities.
I don’t participate in your communities because I’ve seen how unfairly you moderate them.
This one got through since it’s new but I’m blocking it now.
