I distinctly remember people holding signs of Obama's face pasted on the body of a chimpanzee. Another honorary mention from the campaign was the slogan "keep the white house white".
The racism was so fucking blatant and Republicans expect us to pretend it never happened.
Life imprisonment does exactly the same thing, is cheaper, and doesn't run the risk of potentially killing an innocent person
If they can fine-tune the ratio and distribution of fat/muscle it could very well be the most delicious meat ever eaten, but that's a big If that will take years (probably decades) of research.
However I can absolutely see it becoming cheaper with a couple years of streamlining the process.
Somewhat related, there is a vaccine for cats in the works meant to prevent feline chronic kidney disease. If successful it could massively increase the lifespan of domestic cats.
About a decade ago, I was renting a room from a couple I was friends with. One of them went to a hairstylist and during the appointment said to her "I don't have any girl-friends, do you want to hang out some time?". Well that hairstylist said yes and they made plans to go snow tubing a few weeks later. I was supposed to go with them but came down with a cold. I still wanted to meet this new girl so I came down to see them off. That's when I met the woman that would eventually become my wife and the mother of my child!
I had never been more upset that I was sick than that day lol
The American Red Cross has this on their website:
Q: I'm a heavy cannabis user. Can a transfusion recipient fail a drug test if they receive my blood?
A: No.
They don't care if you're high as a kite as long as it doesn't impair your memory or comprehension (probably for legal reasons).
It's all good man, I didn't take it in a bad way. I totally get that not everyone has the same experience and outlook when going through something like this.
Have a good one!
It's okay, I didn't mind. That was his experience and that's totally fine. I didn't take it as invalidating what I went through.
But I do appreciate you looking out for a stranger!
