I wonder how practical it would be to recommission old nuclear aircraft carriers as cargo ships
It’s not a state rights issue, it’s a human rights issue and the SCOTUS was protecting the people of the US from the States until the court overturned Roe v Wade
Seems like solar would be a really good solution in NM. Lots of land to build on, plenty of sun, and the population is spread out so large power plants like nuclear/coal would be less practical in that setting
I actually have one of these on the emergency kit my brother gave me for a car, he put it together in a like military style bag to keep in my trunk and it has a patch on it like that. It’s just a monochromatic version of the American flag, anyone I’ve known who has something like that doesn’t intend anything past that. Like others referenced, modern fatigues and gear in the US Military feature a similar monochromatic flag to that (usually black and the primary color of the uniform, like desert tan or olive drab) to save cost and make it blend in with the uniform better, so I think that popularized that to some degree in culture.
I understand the advantages of hydrogen since burning it doesn’t produce greenhouse gasses, but being around that much hydrogen makes me uneasy from everything I’ve read about how explody it is. I am sure the engineers responsible know what they’re doing though
Well hey, Russia has made lots of progress on abolishing their borders the past year or so!
Any caliber reasonable for self defense will overpenetrate through all walls of your home at lethal velocities. .380, 9mm, .45, 5.56, 12 ga buckshot, if you miss your target it will overpenetrate. Drywall has about as much bullet resistance as paper. The only way to prevent any over penetration is firing hollow point ammunition at your target and not missing.
Depends, looks like the rifles here are AK and AR style, so they probably take 7.62mm (which I imagine is pretty common in Eastern Europe) and 5.56/.223 (which the US military is probably supplying them by the bucket), respectively. That said, the hand guns are probably a mix of .22, 9mm, and .45 among other random less common calibers
