@Panda
@lemmy.worldLast Epoch had been on my radar ever since it was on Kickstarter but I didn't back it at the time. It's been on my wishlist for a while and initially wanted to wait until release, but now that it's so close to releasing and because of the many positive reviews I decided to get it this week and I've been having tons of fun so far.
I already respected a few times just to try different variations of my build and I've been having a blast. I also really like how I can organise the stash tabs and set up custom loot filters in this game.
I know the current build we're playing is an older one but I'm surprised at how polished the game feels. I haven't encountered any game breaking bugs so far (though I did report a number of small bugs I encountered here and there) and if this is what early access for the game is like I'm really looking forward to seeing what they've done for 1.0.
I'm really looking forward to the 2 new classes. Especially the warlock! The trade factions also seem very interesting and unique.
What are you looking forward to the most, or hoping to see, in 1.0 or a future update?
I'm super excited about Dragon's Dogma 2, but because many games these days launch not living up to what was promised or with performance issues, and the fact that games seem to be getting more and more expensive, I'm a bit wary of getting a big game at full price at launch.
However, I'm considering reading the reviews and then getting it ASAP with this game. And trying it for the 2 hours on Steam so I can at least refund it if there are any problems with the game. The gameplay videos they released so far look pretty good. I think I'm mostly worried about performance issues.
What are you planning to do? Are you going to (or did you already) preorder the game or wait for (player) reviews?
Edit: I want to clarify that I'm not planning on preordering the game, as for me there's no point in preordering digital stuff anyway.
I must've been living under a rock or...well, I just haven't played The Sims 4 in a while and I didn't know the game had become free to play until recently. I also heard The Sims 5 is going to be free to play at launch. How do you feel about that and do you think it'll impact the game in any way?
I'm personally just worried the base game will be more limited in features if it's free to play but I hope I'm wrong!
I recently switched back to using Unity and am trying to wrap my head around the concept of subscenes (and ECS) but aside from some forum posts here and there and the official documentation I haven't really found a lot of information about it.
How should subscenes be used (as in, what kind of scenarios should I be thinking of)? Do I just have one main scene and a bunch of subscenes that I switch between? Or are they basically modules that I can load/unload that, together, form the actual scene (is that what open/close/unload is for? To make them only load or be active when they're actually needed?
Thanks!
Am I correct in assuming that blocking a community stops it from showing in your feed? I see a lot of posts from communities in languages I don't speak and would like them to not show up on my feed. So I blocked a few, but I'm not 100% sure if what I did has the intended effect.
(Maybe it's just because to me, blocking a person seems like something I wouldn't do to someone who hasn't done anything wrong, haha XD)
