You are not supposed to use q-tips to clean your ears. But if it's wrong, I don't wanna be right.
What are you supposed to use? I have been cleaning my ears with them my whole life.
I started wiping my inner ear with a tissue to keep my earbuds clean. No qtips, just my finger covered in tissue paper.
Nothing. By constantly rubbing the inside of the ear, you're irritating it and removing the oils, which in turns makes the ear produce it more, which in turns makes you clean it constantly.
It's unnecessary. When you stop, the ears will get to their normal balance and self-cleaning.
If the ears do get dirty or truly well stuck with wax, there are ear cleaning sprays you can buy, or make a solution of hydrogen peroxide, warm water and alcohol, then gently rub in some olive oil.
If you still have excess wax you can of course use a tissue or something to clean your outer ear, but yeah sticking hard objects in your ear canal isn't great.
That said I'm a qtip fanatic
There's these.
I'm not a Doctor. Be careful taking medical advice from strangers on the internet.
I think that if you feel you must clean them, you're supposed to use some kind of water pick or something, but you're not really supposed to clean them much at all.
I once heard someone say "you should never put anything smaller than your elbow inside your ear". Not certain if that meant just because of the size. For me at least, it's rather difficult to get my elbow anywhere near my ear which I think is the point.
I think it's silly to put punctuation inside quotes if they're not part of the quote, but that's what's technically correct. I put periods or whatever after the end quote instead of before. Can't think of any good examples at the moment though
I butter my bread with the back of a spoon instead of a knife. In fact my username would be "butterspoon" except someone had already taken it on twitch back in the day!
It's genuinely more efficient than using a knife. Don't knock it til you've tried it.
You may be getting a visit from some men in white coats in the near future. You are clearly insane.
I will pour in the milk first, and cereal second. And I'll do it very deliberately in front of anyone who gets annoyed by it.
(If I have any milk and/or cereal that is.)
This.. I had to setup a postgres DB with multiple different DB's in Docker for a project. General mindset seemed to be, a second DB = a second container.
I think this is fine as long as your image contains two databases. Don't just add a database to a running container, that's bad practice since containers are designed to be volatile.
I grew up making Top Ramen in the microwave, and never thought anything of it. The square noodle bricks, not the soup cups. Iβve recently been informed thatβs not the correct preparation method and I should be using the stove. Oh well, Iβve got the timing nailed, not stopping now. lol
I have to wonder what absolute psychopath would put milk, then boiling water, then a teabag into a cup and consider the result drinkable. I've made that mistake... once.
Niche to warehouse environment, but we where trained to pull the lever on a pallet jack to drop the load to the floor if you needed to break suddenly. Instead of doing this I very quickly turn the handle a sharp 90degree so the wheel itself just drags along the floor. It's so much easier as it means I don't have to pump it back up when I want to get moving again.
