I did not expect this! Thought this would be a straightforward teeth for hair question!
Well, I can't think of a creature that has anything related to external teeth instead of hair, less a few bizarre mutations that might have occurred.
Blue whales, on the other hand: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baleen
Huh, TIL. On reading about them, shark denticles primarily consist of dentin. Denticles are as close to teeth as baleen are to hair, I suppose.
I guess we could dig around and find more surprisingly logical answers to OPs question.
(Still, a shark or a whale is a decent choice.)
Hope you REALLY love shrimp. Or krill I guess but that's harder to find at the grocery store.
I do! While there are probably some major drawbacks, like having to swallow the occasional religious prophet or sentient log, it kinda sounds OK.
First instinct is teeth for hair, because hair for teeth means constant upkeep to keep from choking, and can't chew. But then I remembered laser hair removal exists, and so do dentures.
Now my main wonder is if body hair and pubic hair is also replaced with teeth... I think I'm leaning more towards hair for teeth. Being covered in patchy, sparse (potentially curly?) teeth under my arms and all over my body sounds... Worse. Much worse.
Teeth for hair, they can be plucked out and I can go back to being bald as I basically am now. Hair for teeth would be worse than useless.
