Bailed on The Walking Dead years ago. Is Dead City worth it to try again?

Give it a shot, you might like it! Dead City is definitely better than the more recent TWD stuff, so far I'm digging it.
Same on both the bailing years ago and the new spinoff catching my attention. I watched maybe the first couple 10 minutes of it and I felt I missed too much (I stopped season 7) to become invested in it. Yeah, I'm familiar with Maggie and Negan but they bring up past events and names that I had no clue about. Ended up on my phone then switched to watch something else :\
Better than Fear S4-8. Fear S1-3 is a different show. I actually wish they relaunched it as a different series instead of tying them together as a "soft reboot" since they're so different (and Fear 1-3 is a lot better imo)
