@JimmyMcGill
@lemmy.worldFuck in a way I also feel bad for the defense layers. Like I’m pretty sure none of the want to defend these rapist pieces of shit, but in a way they have to in order for the system to function properly. Imagine having to defend rapists and falsely accused “rapists” in the same way, with the same effort and determination. I’m sure I couldn’t do it
Fuck, why is it that almost everything that is bad in the US can be traced back to Reagan. It’s unbelievable
Yes. I mean I’m a man and I had no trouble understanding the post but for some reason it is very hard for some people
He had like 25 laps with Leclerc behind him AND with DRS. Every lap I was look at that interval timer and it was close to 0.6s which meant an overtake opportunity or it was almost 1.0s which would have broken the tow.
Then LECs tyres fell HARD. The crash at the end was crazy (haven’t seen Perez’s replay but it seemed like his fault), however I feel like the last two laps would have been bonkers and I think Leclerc would have finished 4th.
The point of the post is that if Trump had said that he wanted to kill every immigrant at gun point, there wouldn’t be any jokes or memes about it, because it’s a dangerous statement that would be taken seriously by anyone.
By making memes about him saying immigrants are eating dogs and cats, then we are “signaling” that what he said isn’t terrifyingly dangerous, we’re taking it as ridiculous and funny and not to be worried about. And that plays a role in normalizing all the stupid shit he has been saying.
As a disclaimer, Trump is a piece of shit and I am DEFINITELY NOT saying both sides are bad (I fucking hate that argument). But the argument in the post is a valid one. Of course there are also some upsides to the memes. First they are funny but they also cause those words to reach out to more people which hopefully has an effect in terms of voting against him
Not to excuse the fault the democrats and especially Biden has on the situation in Gaza, but “don’t both sides” this shit.
Not only is “but Trump” an actual valid argument for about a million issues, Trump would absolutely steamroll the genocide in Gaza to even worse metrics. So not even in that 1 metric are the republicans a better option
The autocomplete is amazing
It just takes the mental strain out of syntax and I can focus more on the logic and structure of the code
Like you said much better for writing unit tests, but also for log messages and comments
Even the chat is sometimes useful but not as much. I treat it as much junior engineer assistant/rubber duck. I.e. I never completely accept what it outputs and usually review everything but quite often it gives me a different idea/approach even if it doesn’t write it 100% correct the first time. Because I always review it, having it autocomplete the next line is my preferred approach so I verify each line as they come.
Once you start to past 10/20+ lines in a row you will have a bad time.
Love your comments. Keep them up
Also if there’s a place to follow you, especially closer to the election let me know
I recently joined mastodon and follow almost no one there, so if you are there with these analysis definitely let me know
It’s all good share how much you want.
That sounds like a cool friend. Thank you for your recommendations as well :)
