Devils advocate, why build more nuclear plants when you could build more renewables? If it’s a scaling issue, in that you need a ton more infrastructure for renewables, and need to supplement with nuclear, wouldn’t that then always be the case in the future? I hear nuclear is needed to bridge the gap often, but it always sounds like it’s temporary, which I don’t understand - seems like nuclear would be needed forever if renewables aren’t able to scale well?
Dude maybe? Lol. Did they show him passing a bunch of people on the broadcast? I honestly cannot remember them showing 1 overtake by Norris (not saying they didn’t, I honestly don’t remember). We’re most of those overtakes due to pit stops?
I’m so fucking confused right now.
Were we watching the same race? Maybe I missed it, but every time I saw Norris he was being gobbled up. His car looked like a tractor out there today.
I’m late to this comment thread but I was shocked they didn’t retire him at the first pit stop. He fell nearly all the way back, surely they would have known he wasn’t going to recover and get into the points. Why put more time/wear on components at that point?
Bug:
Tapped on the OP in the thread below to collapse it, and end up getting the whole app shifted up/offscreen, and the comments cut off below.
Makes me wonder if the fediverse shouldn’t be individually instanced. Like Each persons phone/browser is their own individual “instance”. Maybe a central hub/series of hubs (like instances as they are now maybe) that act like dns servers to point everyone around. No content is hosted on them, they just tell everyone’s apps where to look to the other apps for posts.
I have no idea, I’m a moron and I don’t know how the internet actually works. I’m guessing this is a problem at scale.
Sweet, just created an account, thank you!
It’s a mastodon instance from the looks of it? Let’s you browse lemmy to?
