Abolishing capitalism will never happen in our lifetime, so you have to think smaller but more effective. What needs to happen is moving to a cooperative based capitalism, where a company or corporation is owned by all of the workers, with protection of independent unions. This will very quickly reduce the divide between the rich and the poor, as well as closing the gap between productivity and wages that has worsened since the 70's.
Do I expect this to happen? Fuck no. But it has a much higher chance than the abolition of capitalism, and has more support amongst people I've spoken to over the years when I've suggested it as a path forward.
“The Supreme Court’s decision underscores the importance of electing people who will support the rights of parents against a public school establishment that thinks it knows more about raising each individual child than parents do,” Senate President Jeb Bradley, a Republican, said in a statement.
They never mention the rights and safety of children, do they. Even when presented so much evidence of parents who harm, disown or even kill their queer children, it never once occurs to them that a child might know best when it comes to their own safety.
In their minds, it's about the rights of the parent to the property that is their child, and the damage caused to said property by turning their child into an undesirable. It's such a sickening mindset.
I worked for one of the biggest tech companies in the UK, we used Thinkpads for our dev work. They're solid machines with good specs and excellent warranties. Big companies love them.
They need to also invest heavily in public transport, make buses free to use, and restructure train ticket prices so that they are not going up each year unnecessarily. Encourage people out of their cars, give them less reason to use them.
From what I heard, this is the result of risk aversion. The poor editing is because they cut out a lot of the violence that was shot and didn't have anything to fill the runtime with, hence the reshoots. I can't wait for the inevitable What Happened on this film to see how bad it was.
But then wouldn't you also need to look at the temperature of the hospital/building they are in? Or the air pressure? Wouldn't that have a bigger effect on them seeing as the building would protect the baby from the weather outside?
