This is an issue that I know for a fact that is not specific to plasma, but I came here to ask for help since I run Plasma and I’m hoping that there is something I can change on the DE to fix it. Caps-lock is very slow and causes THis ISsue, and it is driving me crazy. I’m the person who can never learn how to use the shift to capitalize my letters and use caps-lock religiously. I have been using this [https://github.com/hexvalid/Linux-CapsLock-Delay-Fixer] fix on xorg, but it doesn’t work on wayland, and I’m now back to square one. Any kind soul here knows how I can fix this issue? Thank you

I got an update today for qt5 webengine and I was wondering if I should update it or just remove it since we are on qt6/plasma 6?
I have recently upgraded to Plasma 6. It's has been riddled with issues. One major issue is that when I let the PC sit for a while, the screen turns off (as it should), then the pc just either freezes indefinitely, or wakes up, but nothing is responsive. I can't even enter my password to log in. For now, I have disabled auto suspend and turn off screen and all that. I suspend it manually when I am done working. I really don't want to reinstall, as I have had this set up for over a year and I will need to do a ton of work to get it back working. I do have root and home partitions separated, and I can reinstall, but if I absolutely had to. Is there anything I can do to remove all of plasma 5 leftover things without breaking things? Is there such thing as resetting plasma to its defaults without reinstalling? PS. I have submitted several bug reports and I will get back at it when I have time

Hello all,
I have created a post on reddit to fix the issue where SDDM doesn't scale well on plasma 6, and wanted to share it here in case anyone is having the same issue
I have two monitors that are 4k and SDDM wasn't scaling correctly on either of them. It was too small and was very annoying. I tried many ways to fix it, but nothing helped. Applying plasma settings to SDDM from the settings didn't help either. Some kind soul recommended an Arch wiki piece that helped me fix it. I want to share with everyone just in case. And here is the screenshot on what to do in case the wiki is not clear enough. Navigate to /etc/sddm.conf.d and create a new file and call it hidpi.conf (in case you don't have it), then add the following lines to it and save:
[Wayland]
EnableHiDPI=true
[X11]
EnableHiDPI=true
[General]
GreeterEnvironment=QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS=2,QT_FONT_DPI=192
You can change the QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS=2
to any number to fit the size of your screen. I set mine to 1.75 since it is the perfect scaling for my 27" monitor.
Hope this helps.
Have a good day
Posted about it on reddit, and I'm bringing it here. Anyone has this issue?
There is this useless feature where the lock screen tells you that the account is locked for 10 minutes because of three failed attempts to log in, but then I can just bypass it by forcing my computer off then powering it back on. Then what's the point of having it? I just got a new mechanical keyboard and I don't know if it has an issue or something, but it happened twice today without me doing anything while the pc is asleep, and it is annoying AF having to force shut down my pc by holding down the power button. This might also cause data loss for me. Is there a way to disable this thing?
Thanks
EDIT: so I was able to get it to work with the "unnamed launcher", but now I'm wondering if I should log in using my current credentials or just create a new account for this game with a new email just in case they ban me?
Like the title says. I've been playing Genshin no problem through Heroic, but HSR just doesn't launch. Tried it with steam by adding a non-steam game and changing some settings. Tried through heroic. Best so far is the music of the game, but just a black screen then crashes on Lutris through honkers launcher. Are there any arguments/launch options I'll need to add to steam or Lutris? I really want to play this game. Thank you.
This is now the only thing standing between me and using Wayland as my daily driver. I have an all AMD PC running on two 27" 4k monitors. Setting them up to 200% is good, but too big. Setting them to 175% causes the font to be blurry. Not too blurry, but I can tell and it's not comfortable to look at for too long. Also, other UI elements are blurry, too regardless of the scaling. Although those elements aren't defaults, but still blurry and look out of place. For example, the oxygen window decoration buttons are very blurry. Hovering over those buttons shows a big blurry and empty box.
Anywho, I'm pretty sure the whole KDE team is aware of this, but my question is, is this being addressed in plasma 6? This is literally the only thing holding me back from Wayland. I love how snappy it is. Things are way quicker than x11. I want to use it. Thank you
