@lemmy.worldI ended up leasing one as I wasn't ready to commit to EV, yet. It wasn't much more expensive than our Outback in monthly payments. Sticker shock on EVs is real, though.
My first listen to Plastic Beach, I hated it. As I had bought it on a whim and money was tight at the time, I gave it a few more shots over the next couple of months and now it's one of my favorites. It's probably the album that convinced me to give music I don't immediately like a second chance.
To add to this, I use Bitwig on Linux and it is really nice. MIDI controllers pretty much just work and when I was swapping between Jack/Pulseaudio/Pipewire, things worked within a few clicks. Finding help for it online is really easy, as well.
Yeah, that definitely could be a path. New Frontiers has made me feel like being a bit hopeful, but only time can tell.
I really hope this is a signal for reinvigorated development and growth for Dota 2. It has, New Frontiers withstanding, felt pretty stagnant for the last couple of years. It'd be really awesome to get new players and new experiences into the game.
Follow up to this, I had players on all afternoon after v0.8.0.3 released. After everyone verified their local file integrity, crashes seemed to significantly drop. Still had a couple of Nvidia driver failures, but over all it seems to be pretty stable.
