@lemmy.dbzer0.comAh, that's a good comparison! I don't agree with the original comment - I think outlaws has a fun flavor, and I doubt they're going to be using that keyword outside of these sets. I might have an issue if they did.
To your point, historic never resonated with my, though I see what they were trying to do with it.
Gotcha. I think people normally use dpad over the joystick on pad, but I was having issues with inputs (especially dragon punch) so I switched.
And exactly - diagonal input on leverless is two buttons pressed simultaneously. I recommend one, but they can be pricey. If you're interested, I used my keyboard to (shittily) simulate leverless so I could try it out. I used w - left, e - down, r - right, space - up and then 8 attack buttons mapped for the right hand. It's definitely a change, though!
I'm playing a bit, but I really want to dedicate more time to the game. I picked up a leverless controller so I'm still getting used to the inputs and shortcuts.
Interesting that that your thumb is bothering you - are you using the dpad or stick on controller?
Looks like a really fun spells-matter card with strong effects. But I'd be surprised if this made it into Standard at 5 MV.
Oof that's a tough one... mull to 5 is rough, they probably figured they'd have a better chance to draw those lands, especially if the curve was good.
Esper taking a huge chunk of the field, but honestly still pretty diverse metagame. It might have something to do with the bigger card pool. I'm excited to see what comes out on top!
There are dozens of us! I think the book is enjoyable if all you're expecting is a fun but shallow ride. If it's been hyped up, it's going to be disappointing. A lot of reviews treat it like the pinnacle of the genre, which is ridiculous.
It's about being respectful. Using someone's condition they can't control as a descriptor is (at least in my opinion) disrespectful.
Ah you're right! I agree then, this might have a place as a 1-drop in a Bargain synergy deck.
