@lemmy.worldI'm not sure what your point is, the bag is an add on, if you don't need it, then don't get it. We have switches and keycaps and if a customer get an aluminum boards with switches and keycaps, they definitely can reach the threshold for a free bag. And a bag is just a bag, no one should strive for the threshold with all th junk they don't need just to get a free bag. We just want to reward the customer a bit if they want to spend a lot of money with us.
Our best sellers are still the sofle v2 boards in sandwich style case which is less than $150, usually with shipping included. That shows that you don't need any of our junk to get a functional keyboard, just get the bare minimum and it's better a lot of offerings on the market.
You sure can compare us with the company whose products you own, but that's like comparing apple to orange, we have different values to offer.
It's okay, but I prefer the ts100. The pinecil is a bit unresponsive in waking up from idle.
Optimized for travel, then I'd suggest wireless low profile corne. It's small, light and wireless.
1000mAh, from my personal use, It can last at least 1 month possibly two, but I usually charge it once per 2-3 weeks.
Functionally, they're not very different. The CZ has onboard controllers so over all, it's thinners, it has a e-ink display so it burn less battery. The Corne uses separate wireless controller (bluemicro840), so I have to design a case around this controller, thus making the case thicker and less refined than the CZ. It also can use an e-ink screen (the nice!view), but it's not very easy to find, so I stick with OLED screens. My version can accommodate a huge battery so it can last months event with OLED screens.
This is based on the v3 pcb, I'm not sure about the v2 pcb, I'll have to check, but if the holes are 1-2mm from the controller, it will fit.
If you're ready to loose the oled screens, then yes it should fit. I designed this for the choc version, and on the choc version, the holes for the oled is a bit closer to the promicro than on the cherry version. And if you install the cherry pcb on this, the oled holes are obstructed by a piece of the case, thus cannot fit properly. If you loose the oled screens, they should fit nicely.
