I'm sure the community is perfectly fine, but the name is gross and awful. It's the reason I never went there on Reddit and probably won't here either, and I don't imagine I'm the only one. It's not welcoming at all. It seems normal if you're used to it, I guess, but having a Nazi reference in your name is not a good look. You'd be better off ditching it now you have the opportunity imo.
Yeah, this. Google is a lot crappier than it used to be, but the reason it gives you Reddit search results it that everything is on Reddit. There's no forums anymore like the old days. Not many that are active anyway.
Mostly #3. It looks nicer and seems to work better. And it happily also means I don't have to deal with #5 because ick!
Thank you. Sadly, I suspect we're going to have to live in the wreckage for at least 20 or 30 years before that happens, but perhaps I'm unduly pessimistic. Still, if it will finally get the Little Englanders to give up on their poisonous dreams, at least some good will come out of it in the long run.
I think most of us who want to rejoin are perfectly aware that that's never coming back. We chopped it up, set it on fire, and pissed on the ashes. Against my wishes and those of half the country, but we did. So be it. But if a nebulous vision of reclaiming what we had can get people thinking about rejoining, I'll take it. Anything is better than the current disaster.
Over on Mastodon, there are relays you can sub to to help populate things. I don't think there's any such functionality in this corner of the fediverse yet, but it's surely only a matter of time.
It got dropped by Syfy after three seasons and picked up again by Amazon for a further three seasons. Bezos was apparently a fan. They didn't renew it after that, but it ended in a decent place, closing out a lot of the plot lines while leaving the door open for more. There's some stuff setting up future plot threads that they don't get to address, but it mostly won't leave you hanging. It's well worth finishing.
I won't spoil anything, but adapting the final trilogy would involve some difficult changes and be very expensive, so I suppose it's understandable that they didn't keep it going, as much as that sucks. Maybe one day. There's comics and a Telltale game coming out, so there's still life in it yet. And you can always read the books.
Currently binging Justified in preparation for the new one. I haven't fully rewatched it since it first aired, and I'd forgotten just how awesome it is. I feel like it's a show that got lots of critical praise but never really the viewership it deserved and has been somewhat forgotten, which is sad because it's fantastic. So many awesome characters and so much wonderful writing.
No reason you can't use both. It doesn't have to be either/or.
Sadly, they're not going to back down though, nor will they implode spectacularly. It's going to be a slow death of a thousand cuts over there.
