I'm not sure how much power a state's governor would have in controlling national arms dealing with foreign countries. I'm wondering if the lie here isn't from Tim but from the story tellers, in which case it's in the wrong forum.

I question if these two are the same. For any candidate. I also laugh at any group being called informed, because there definitely is disinformation out there everywhere, more and more.
This has nothing to do with the topic, only an overall observation that no one can claim any group is "properly informed". "Properly" also is a loaded word...I don't think you meant it nefariously, but it could be read that way.
These endorsements are important not necessarily because of who is doing them, but for the constant wave of reminders that are more high profile than usual political messages. I think the biggest fight is against complacency as we start seeing the "sweeping poll numbers" from the media near the end. Vote regardless of who you're told is winning, it won't matter until the votes are counted.
