@sh.itjust.worksGood thing this was forbidden in the EU a few years back. As a user, you can't refuse "necessary cookies" but those from third parties you can (e.g. Google analytics). Imposing personalized ads if you don't pay is definitely forbidden in the EU I'd say
Don't you worry about it, wine has been around since the 90s. So many desktop apps you like on windows will be really functional, and you can see their individual compatibility ratings on https://appdb.winehq.org/ For games, it's another mater. But most of the time it's fine wether it be on steam proton or wine-ge. Try it for a few weeks and you'll find yourself happy, but still harassing devs for a native Linux release :)
I've experienced that nagging feeling of needing to fix that issue and endlessly searching for an answer. And you've answered your own question: taking a break might be the best solution. But obviously it is frustrating to stop yourself once you're "down the rabbit hole". I've never worked in dev team but this might be your answer when you start working professionally. Asking help from your colleagues might be less frustrating than pacing yourself on your own.
I can relate. Most of the time this means a lot of regrets. But sometimes it leads to welcome discoveries.
I'd do the the opposite. I generally use the default "cordially". But if someone pissed me off I'd use something overly formal and polite like "amicably thanking you for your eventual reply over the matter; if it pleases you"
Don't people use it mainly as a calendar? You can see events near you and get alerts to those you've signed up for. There are alternatives of course but I feel a lot firms and people publicize their event through Facebook.
Don't worry, Google is actually getting sued for its various malpractices (paying browsers millions to be their default search engine, Google adsense putting the best bidder at the top of the search results, etc). It might even come to the US justice system ordering the breakup of various Google products into smaller independent companies.
Force yourself to sneeze and cough inside your elbow all the time. Even when you're alone. Then it becomes a reflex and you'll protect those around you from infection a lot better.
I get the feeling. I had a fuck-up directory with solutions for my failed android rooting efforts. I tried to flash my phone with a random recovery image I found in an old FAQ section.
Yeah we heard a lot of "decent people from sides" after the Charlottesville attack, namely. Talk about relativism!
