Honestly, I'm all for it if it means bringing back ridiculously sized phone batteries with huge bumps that can act as a finger shelf. My note 2 with a 4200mah battery was a beast in 2013.
It'll hit equilibrium eventually. Not like this is something unusual for a platform that's making the rounds as the new and exciting thing.
I always thought it'd be more of a feature phone type os. Couldn't compete with what Android had to offer to the mainstream Western market at the time using primarily HTML, but I'm glad to find out that is what it turned into.
Decided to join Lemmy after having issues with the Reddit app and Relay not getting along. Facebook groups as of late have been flaming garbage. Twitter is now an.. X. I'm not touching Reddit again unless Google sends me there. Sync seems to do the job quite well.
I've tried Mastodon before. It just wasn't my cuppa. This is my new public facing social home I think.
I mean, if people hadn't kept piling on top of each other like rats, it might not be so bad.
You're not wrong. I was so desperate to get online as a kid I was pirating my neighbor's internet on my Nintendo DS with a borrowed copy of the browser, because that was the only hardware I had with wifi access lmao.
Funny you should mention those. I actually purchased my first one not too long ago! I've never been a fan of floral patterns, but the retro/neon revival has helped with that somewhat.
I remember this feature being removed around Android 9 or 10ish. Possibly. However, you could always use Tasker. Someone even built a convenient profile you can import.
