To each their own I suppose. I know ringnecks can be noisy but then again I'm a mad parrot lady so that's right up my alley.
I recently bought the Cat Quest trilogy. I played the first two on my switch but the third one just came out and Steam did the whole bundle at a discount so I snagged it. Been enjoying replaying the first two before I start on the new one.
I am severely allergic to eggs so no annual flu shot for me but I have gotten multiple COVID shots without issue. I am a bit worried about a combo flu-covid shit in the future and will talk with my doctor about my options. I will say that it is possible to work with a physician or allergist and take half-shots of some vaccines. This is where you take half the shot in two spaced out doses to eventually get full coverage. I will admit that it didn't work for me with the flu vaccine but it was definitely worth a try and the reaction I had wasn't as bad as a full dose.
I love all of your photos and I'm still super jealous that you've got wild ringnecks in your back yard. 🥰
I think the idea of listing every job you've ever had on a resume is very outdated and anyone who still holds this belief is showing their age and privilege. This might have been relevant when you could expect to work for the same company for 20 plus years and maybe only change jobs 2 or more times in your life but that ain't the case now (and hasn't been for decades now). Hell I've lost count of how many companies I've worked for. I even completely changed professions after turning 40. It would be absolutely ridiculous to list any job experience that isn't directly related to the skills needed for the job your applying for.
Fun fact: The inside of the upper beak is where taste buds are located for parrots. Scientists are still studying to find out if this is the case for all types of birds or just some species.
That's weird. The link should be to the Wikipedia entry but thanks for making a steam link too!
Maize, a point and click/walking simulator/puzzle game about a secret military project to create sentient corn. Quite possibly the silliest game I've ever played.
This is a fascinating perspective, thanks for sharing your experience. It makes me really happy to hear first hand how this new technology does improve quality of life for people.
