Meh. Lawyers represent unsavory clients all the time. I think Trump's treatment of his lawyers is the issue for most. Using them as political spokespersons and his reputation of not paying.
My guess is it'll go like this:
Trump: Judge, I can't find a lawyer with the skills to represent me.
Judge: Give me the list of people you tried to get to represent you.
The judge looks over the list see someone they knows.
Judge: Mr. X is appointed to Trump's lawyer team and will be paid 1.2 x [standard rate]. Trump will put Y amount into escrow to ensure payment.
Add some rules about what exactly the appointed lawyer will do and done. Trump can't argue for improper representation later.
I think that is an actual threat if he can't find an expert. The judge might assign someone if he can't find one himself just to avoid that.
He does have a pair of lawyers already.
top former federal prosecutor Todd Blanche and the former Florida solicitor general Chris Kise, according to people familiar with the matter.
What he's struggling with is finding someone who is an expert in national security law, can get a security clearance and is willing to represent him.
Someone is spamming scat porn. They are getting reported. The page has live updates and tells everyone that sometimes has been reported.
The UI is just a bit janky and buggy on mobile. The amount up votes is constantly changing as I type this comment. I also think I might of reported this post twice just while trying to scroll.
I do like the size of the communities through.
I consider myself NB transfem. I prefer transfem because, to me at least, it invokes a feeling of movement towards feminity as opposed to into feminity.
For a community name I'm honestly not sure which one would be better. I think discoverability and inclusivity should be the deciding factors. MtF has the lineage from past communities and transfem is more inclusive.
Sadly I can't take credit for this since I stole the meme.
I did notice the change as a shower thought after the fact and started to wonder if there was something I could add to capture the cadence of the original. But I got nothing.
It's going to depend on how content gets indexed.
Doing some quick test searches on Google I think using "site:lemmy.*" gives the best results overall if you don't know which specific community you are trying to search in.
