# Hey folks! Lemmy 0.19 was released this week! It brings a bunch of awesome new features [https://join-lemmy.org/news/2023-12-15_-_Lemmy_Release_v0.19.0_-_Instance_blocking,_Scaled_sort,_and_Federation_Queue], so I hope you are all willing to forgive some downtime in order to upgrade to this latest version. Unfortunately some migration will be necessary as part of this upgrade, so it might take a while, but I will try to keep it as short as possible. I hope you are all having a great holiday period, and I will see you soon in 0.19!

With the release of the new version what can we expect?

Are you fucking sorry?

Will Sync sorry support all of the new features of 0.19?

I suppose that eventually it will, like the ability to manage blocked instances at the account level (instead of at the app/filter level), the ability to select a specific language label when submitting a comment or post, etc. It already does some thing that 0.19 does, like new comments highlight.

That entirely depends on @ljdawson's roadmap.

Not sure what you mean. Did you read the latest update notes? A lot has been updated/changed for 0.19

Yeah. I meant will sync support the new Features of 0.19.

Did you read the latest update notes?

I'm not sure what you mean. Sync hasn't been updated since Nov 29 and they are just now starting to implement 0.19.

The first line says support for Lemmy 0.19, which is probably why they asked if you read it

This post

Yeah, but the update on Nov 29 was to address the breaking change: logging in works differently for 0.19, and all of the update notes can be found here (which is the thing they asked if you read)

Their point is sync only updated to address the breaking CHANGES. Scaled sort isn't present in Sync for example.

I had to close and re-open the app and it made me sign in again, but so far so hood.

I sorry what you did there
