Personally, I think a dungeon crawling ARPG is the right way to go for AV. I'm not so set on the game being an exact replica of tabletop play, there are other APs that are better suited to that.

I am mildly interested but not interested enough to back it on Kickstarter. I am reserving judgement until it comes out. I do hope it's fun, though, and I hope we get more Pathfinder video games.

Abomination Vaults is absolutely the right call for an ARPG in golarion... I'm just not totally sold on the idea of an ARPG in golarion. I'll likely pick it up on sale, but not on launch.

As long as it used the PF2E rules and not PF1E or D&D or none of the above, then I'm for it.

But it's not using the rules of the actual tRPG, then I'd give it a pass. But that's just me. I'm not really into video games. But I am when they have the right angle to them.

Also - I'd need to be able to mod it to a Skyrim / Sims 4 level of modding. Even if I could only do that in an offline mode - that'd be what I'd need to maintain interest.

I'm not sure how much the ruleset is going to translate to an ARPG, but I feel like they did say it was based on the PF2e ruleset, not the PF1e rules. I'm pretty sure basing a Pathfinder game off the D&D ruleset is not in the realm of possibility, given the current friction between the two companies.

From the looks of the videos we've seen so far, I think the only thing 'pathfinder' about the game is the title, setting and maybe the iconics. There doesn't appear to be any adherence to the pathfinder2e rules, other than maybe they'll lift some feat names and stuff.

That is a little disappointing. Setting and story might still keep me interested.

I'm definitely interested, and I'm more likely to play an ARPG than a CRPG. Though I strongly prefer turn-based, menu-based JRPGs as my RPG of choice, I dunno if a Golarion JRPG would work (it might).

I'm taking a "Wait & See" stance.

I like the idea, but if it's going to be a "Pathfinder" game I'll need to see to what extent before I jump in.

I don’t think it’s for me. I’d be much more interested in something that came close to a faithful mechanical reproduction of pathfinder 2e. Still, I hope the various licensed games coming out do well.
