Me: okay, I'm doing stuff and trying to be productive, where's my dopamine?
Brain: what's dopamine?
You've got it the wrong way around. Dopamine is the motivation chemical. Serotonin is the satisfaction chemical. You need dopamine before you can do things, and doing things is how you get serotonin.
We see dopamines in rat brains when we give them treats, cause they're gaining motivation to solve more mazes and get more treats.
Even if you hadn't asked, the answer wouldn't be heroin. Heroin is just the perfect substitute and looks like the answer.
But you asked. You know. Stop pretending.
This is one of the reasons the "youre are your brain and you pilot your body like a meat mech" isnt really true. You have limited control over your brain. i have ADHD, i struggle constantly with my brain and usually refer to it like its a seperate human lol
You're your prefrontal cortex and you pilot the rest of your brain like a meat mech.
Yeah, the white straight hunk man with perfect beard has a lot to deal with. I wonder how he copes.
dude, we all have brains, even the most handsome of people have them you know
mental health issues don't discriminate. It's not to say other people don't struggle but it's not bloody pain olympics
