Wow, what a misleading headline.
The Toronto Raptors, owned by MLSE (i.e, Rogers Telecomm and all) didn't donate a cent and are most likely anti-labour
The donation was was from the NBPA (i.e., the NBA player's union) and some players on the Toronto Raptors, including NBPA Vice-Prez Garett Temple.
This started because Raptors off-season practices were held in a gym on SFU campus and some players felt uncomfortable passing picket lines to attend practice.
