Das ist in der Tat das naheliegendste Motiv.
Es kann nicht um Überwachung aller gehen. Dafür sind wir im Allgemeinen einfach nicht interessant genug und besonders in Deutschland eh nicht.
Es kann nicht um Terror oder Kindesmissbrauch gehen. Das sind einfach populistische Schlagworte, die auch bei technikfremden gut ziehen. Kein Terrorist oder Pädophiler würde sich so dumm verhalten, durch so eine Überwachungsmaßnahme aufzufliegen.
Es kann sich auch nicht um einzelne in der EU befindliche Personen handeln. Das wäre wortwörtlich mit Kanonen auf Spatzen geschossen. Eine Einzelüberwachung darf eh schon angeordnet werden und von den massenhaft erhobenen Daten fällt hier absolut null Mehrwert ab (das wurde auch schon mehrfach während der unsäglichen VDS-Eskapaden unter Beweis gestellt).
Unter der Annahme, dass mir hier keine wichtigen Eckpunkte durchgegangen sind, würde ich daher schließen, dass die Quantität der erhobenen Daten das eigentliche Ziel ist und damit trainiert man nunmal überwiegend KI-Modelle.
Aber wozu? Oh, eine ganze Reihe von Dingen fällt mir hier ein. Ich würde allen Dingen voran und meinem Wissen über die maßgeblichen Akteure dieser antidemokratischen Blamage schlichtweg davon ausgehen, dass man hier schön die Werbetrommel gerührt hat. Die Wirtschaft (respektive Thorn, aber das ist für mich nichts anderes) hat der EU hier vermutlich einen vom gläserenen Bürger gesäuselt, wodurch die wiederum feucht im Höschen wurden. Worum es aber in dieser Hypothese eigentlich geht, ist, dass diese Daten so zahlreich und so einfach in die Industrie gelangen wie möglich. Ein Datensatz mit Name und Adresse ist auf dem Schwarzmarkt ne Menge wert, wäre doch toll, wenn man da verbindlicher und anders drankommen könnte.
Von dem üblichen New World Order Bullshit halte ich indes nichts. Profit ist hier das Motiv.
