That's misleading because that's not that often. Most of the cops are beating up innocent black people, shooting your beloved dog, and performing no knock warrants on the wrong house.
I would do the same if they weren't so frequent. The statistics are certainly against that many people having an emergency.

This has been real bad in Chicago, where there's no left green arrow people scoot up to the left turn lane and floor it when the light turns green. Endangering themselves and everyone around them to get 3 cars ahead in the same traffic.
