Man I've been checking the Play Store every single day to see if it's available to download! I'm so excited!

I see a lot of issues there already, is it available for download now? I haven't gotten the email yet and I don't see it on the Play Store
Sorry only 100 internal testers until Google fully approve. Gives me chance to fix some of the issues raised though!
There is only a limit of 100 testers in internal testing. Other channels (Closed testing, open testing and production) doesn't have any limit at all, but every update of app needs Google approval, which can take some time. Also, Google needs to approve post of the app (title, description, icons, etc...) even without uploading an app which can also take some time. Source: I'm developer (not of this app of course)

Fdroid is just a program that lets you download apps from repos. Why would an Fdroid repo have nothing to do with Fdroid?
Your aggressive tone is predictably inappropriate considering your failure at applying simple logic. You would only have a partial excuse if you're 11y/o or something.
There is f-droid the app store, and f-droid.org's main repo. See, it's not that hard.

The thing is, you started on the right track:
Sync is not open source and Fdroid only allows open source.
Here, you are on the right. And you could have followed up later by simply pointing out that "Will it be released to F-Droid" usually means "Will it be on f-droid.org's FOSS-only main repo", but you decided to rant some weird incoherent shit, and insisted on dying on a hell of straws instead!
Thanks for editing your comments to change the meaning of them and shift the focus of my comment instead of telling me why you wouldn't like Sync for Lemmy to host its own Fdroid repo as was the intended focus of my original comment.

I was pretty sure that's where I got it, almost certain in fact. It's becoming clear to me now that my memory is faulty though. As you pointed out, it's clearly not open source and the only repository I've manually added to F-Droid is one for Bitwarden. Sorry folks - I was mistaken
