Typical US smokescreen where they make it seem like they're doing their job. but not really.
"Hey, look we tried, but our hands are tied!"
They have no problems invading countries for no reasons but regulating monopolies or banks or the rich. yeah, this is how it goes most often.
Google and other monopolies didn't get to this level of power overnight.
"But but but but… "
What a defense 🤣 "I'm too big, I literally can't be sold".
Just split them up, make it impossible for them to work with existing google companies, then employ a tattletale and enforcer. No need to "sell".
"We're so incredibly big and control so much of the market that you can't sell it and recreate our domination in another form," is a really strange defense to a monopoly prosecution. That's exactly the position AT&T was in when the DOJ took a sledgehammer to it back in the day.
Now whose fault is it that let it get this big?

Ads are the cancer of the internet, burn it to the fucking ground and nuke the ashes to be sure.
They absolutely can break off their buy side advertising platform, their sell side publishing advertising platform.
