Haha Amazon is fucked. That's a 70% drop from last season. 8.9 million views for last season's Labor Day weekend, 2.7 million views for this season. Did they really commit to 5 seasons of this?

I do too, but all the criticism has been "it's too boring'.

It's slow, because a: it's elves in tolkien, their whole thing is they're timeless as hell and 2: because older shows expected to hang around for 6-odd 22 episode seasons, half of which were filler.

firstly, nah, "slow" is not synonymous with "boring".

secondly, it is NOT just elves. at least half of it is other storylines about dwarves, harfoots, wizards, Numenor, and all kinds of other middle earth stuff that should be way more exciting than it is.

thirdly, what do 22 episode seasons have to do with this show? RoP is only 8 episodes per season, there should be no filler at all.
