Just to play devil's advocate: Mario is without a doubt the oldest recognizable character that still has some modern appearances. You can't really take pong and some shitty mobile game as a comparison.

Basically, there's earlier games than pacman, but what actually constitutes a video game starts to become a much less trivial question.

Kids man... I remember back in the day being asked to review a gaming site a young'un was trying to get off the ground and I had to correct them that Mario was NOT created by Atari and man, they were ADAMANT.

I guarantee you that N64 controller is the wireless reissue for the Nintendo Switch and not a real genuine N64 controller that plugs into an N64.
