They banned !vegan@lemmy.world's mods too recently (they made a post about it), and they still haven't unblocked !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com.

leftists are definitely not welcome on lemmy.world and i've been trying to let newbie leftists know that the rest of the lemmyverse is more amenable to their opinion; but the mods and admins seem to be doing their damnedest to silence it by banning me and removing posts that try to educate those newbies.
Nelson Mandela bombed railways, was in South Africa's communist party, worked with Cuba's communist government, and sabotaged the South African government to overthrow apartheid.
If he did any of that right now, liberals would be calling him a "tankie". And they did indeed insult him back then when he did so. It's always after the fact that liberals admit these people were in the right.

People seeing this should ask themselves why the link that was posted has a line in Russian on it. The most probable answer is because the person posting the link has their browser or YouTube set to the Russian language, which implies that they're not someone posting in good faith.
Also, none of those people were ever my heroes. Mine were--are--the anarchists, the people that opposed red fascism as well as capitalism. At every turn, the tankies stabbed the anarchists in the back as being enemies to the state.
