Dr DontKnowKnothing advises to double down with deadpan humor. If nothing else, at least you'll see more smiles
I was taking a break on a hike a few weeks ago and a group of 3 girls and a guy passed me and the guy was narrating John Wick 4 scene by scene
Are you sure it was a hike, and not the girls just walking further and further to politely escape him?
No, he was their trainer and they were doing their best to keep up so they wouldn't miss any fight scenes.
No way. I once recited the entire script of an episode of Spongebob to some girls in a bar. Woke up the next morning with a girl in each arm and one across my lap. Girls love that shit. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
That's nothing. I recited the entire Star Wars crawl from memory and now i'm the father of 16 children and I'm founding my own religion.
Wait, does John Wick 4 have a plot that would take more than 5min to narrate? I watched the first one and it was just like watching a twitch stream of a first person shooter. I assumed the others were similar.
John Wick 4 has three protagonists, a fight between two teams of actual Japanese ninjas, a vehicular melee around the Arc de Triomphe set to Gesaffelstein, and a pistols at dawn duel.
That vehicular melee scene was wild, must've been a bitch to shoot.
But that one-shot camera scene was superb.
Wait, does John Wick 4 have a plot that would take more than 5min to narrate?
“People get shot, and shot again if they hurt a dog”
🥱 (except more like 🤢 so killy, whyyy)
Basically me getting lucky that my SO is as orange pilled on pedestrian infrastructure as I am.
Gettin' yo partner goin' by talking about survivability of impacts from tank trucks vs low and even mid riding vehicles.
If any of my younger friends ask, please tell them I totally understand what those words mean.
Translation:
I am very lucky that my partner has similar ideas and interests about urban transport infrastructure and policy as I do.
More of a appreciation for a dutch thing tbh
If I can save for it I wanna take them on a bike tour around Amsterdam some day, basically a whole vacation of cruising the bike lanes like we found an IRL mariokart track
DON'T GO TO AMSTERDAM FOR THAT! Anywhere in the Netherlands is great for that, EXCEPT Amsterdam!
It's much closer to Mariokart than to cruising.
You should consider looking into a bike & barge trip. My parents have done a couple put together by a ski club that they're a part of, and it sounds like the kind of trip that you're talking about, only you wake up in a new place every day and bike ride to meet the barge further upriver at the end of the day. I know they do them in and out of Amsterdam, but my parents did one in the Loire River Valley and absolutely loved it.
So is walking and almost anything else we do with legs, since that is the only real motion they ever do: back and forth. Walking would at least be the correct speed and alternating legs, but still be a terrible name for that leg swinging.
Walking is for the purpose of moving though. I suppose you could say they are kicking the air if that makes more sense.
Not sure if it's culturally-specific but I think it's basically intended as a (likely involuntary) body language display showing interest and excitement. She is so engrossed in the explanation of Naruto (or the individual giving the explanation) that she is not paying attention to what her feet are doing. And what they are doing is acting as an outlet for her excitement.
I couldn't picture this without seeing her as either very very short or very very young. Don't grown ups feet reach the floor?
White boys got real problems recognising it's not their love of anime that repels love interests...
These are the tactics I use on forums. I explain things and try to make people like me at the same time. XD

Very similar to my view of the original Trinity.
It's always a reference to past stories like the Bible and similar scriptures, including technical science fictions like Red Dwarf.
Naruto, befriending yourself, trinity, bible... It makes no sense. red dwarf is not technical.
