Look, I'm on vacation and don't have the time to look at Lemmy all day
In January of 2023 an image of a wizard with a glass ball appeared (I think on a MtG card). It was adopted into a wizardposting community and ever since it's been the go-to image for those pondering orbs.
It's from a guide book of a LOTR role playing game
Yeah I thought getting all touchy feely with creepy glowing orbs went out of fashion a while ago...
I think someone just wanted to bring it back so they made a few new joke images based on it, and then other people jumped back on orb. I mean on board.
I fully agree. Sometimes knowledge can be too dangerous if you aren't prepared. Honestly, OP should focus on wizarding basics, or maybe find another calling.
Ah, so that's why I never really fell in love with flat-screens. Nowhere to place my wizardly decorations!
Speaking of wizards. I tapped your text to upvote and a whole fucking image macro popped up
Edit: ignore me, the image finally loaded on my shitty phone
Wizarding basics is essentially learning Lisp programming. SICP is a good book for this, which is freely available online.
well maybe you'd figure it out if you pondered your own orb for a while?
GOD apprentices are so lazy these days, these newfangled linked tables are rotting their minds

The geometry of Orbs. If you can build up concepts to show you're not inside one, then you're an incredibly talented philosopher.
