"I'm not an engineer but I know some math and physics"
"I'm an engineer but I don't know math or physics"
See how you sound? Well no, probably not- but that's even funnier.
I’m not vegan but my wife is and all I have to say is that Yotam Ottolenghi has delicious recipes if you don’t know where to start
I'd make just as much fun of a 'paleo diet' post though. Just don't make your diet your personality and it won't be an issue.
Paleo isn't a moral choice though... Most vegans are vegans because they see what humans do to animals as indefensible. Why would you expect them to be quiet? It's not their whole personality, you're just happier being willfully ignorant.
PS, I'm not a vegan.
I can tell OP has made veganism their personality. Also that they like playing the victim over it.
Yeah, when you devote yourself to an 'in-group' anyone that doesn't chant your slogans sounds like 'the other'.
"I'm a victim of anti-veganism"
"You can eat whatever you want, you're not a victim"
"See that! Another rabid anti-vegan is victimizing me!"
Also is my 'in-group' 'people that eat food but don't make it their personality'?
Nobody called themselves a victim, it's a joke about how cunts like you love to come in to vegan communities and have a whinge for no clear reason. The fact you don't see the irony is hilarious.
"Omg a vegan post in a vegan community! Those vegans have made it their whole personality! Time to show them how funny and smart I am"
PS: your in group is assholes
They made a joke post on a vegan community about how people love trolling vegan posts. And somehow you don't see the irony in this?
Yeah I get that folks here think everyone that's not with the gang is 'trolling'.
But this showed up in my feed so I commented on it without realizing I'd stepped into 'Vegancirclejerk' until I got a reply. But I have to admit they are funny, I guess if enjoying reactionary responses to my sincere statements is trolling in your book just report and ban me.
For the record I'm mostly vegetarian and oppose inhumane treatment of animals, but have access to a lot of duck and deer meat that was definitely never 'tortured' and I'll laugh at anyone that thinks me immoral for eating it.
I just tend to appreciate the work of people like Temple Grandin who actually worked with us immoral carnivores for the benefit of animals rather than just chanting with an ineffectual, self-righteous mob. Also google 'Jim Corbett'. Curious what self-identified vegans would think of him.
Sorry, you're right. A person's diet is just what they eat.
Evangelical Dietary Cult would be a more accurate description of veganism.
Yeah I think it is wrong to be in any evangelical group. The dietary cult part doesn't bother anyone until they start proselytizing.
