Netflix announced that a sequel to Adam Sandler’s classic golf comedy Happy Gilmore is officially in the works.
I'll bet this is as good as all of the other comedy sequels that came out decades after the first, like Zoolander 2!

I sure as FUCK hope this is the idea we pitched on lemmy a while back where Happy has a daughter who he is trying to raise to be a golfer, but she sucks at golf and ends up training and becoming an enforcer (idk what the correct hockey position would be) for a hockey team. Happy has to come to terms with his daughter not following the path he set out for her.
So much negativity. I hope it turns out decent, but if it's not for me then I hope at least a new generation calls it a favourite. Happy Gilmore is one is my favourite films.
