After launching three large EVs, namely the EV5, EV6, and EV9, Kia is going back to affordable models, aiming for higher sales volumes. Three such models have been confirmed for the near future: EV2, EV3, and EV4. The first of the lot, which will be the Kia EV3, will break cover on 23 May 2024.

Unfortunately this will go the way of headphone jacks in the future.

Nobody wants them but people keep buying them so we keep getting them. Until there is no other option.

It's also much cheaper to have a touch screen compared to fabricating all the little buttons and knobs.

Even for expensive ones? $50/unit maybe? I know people will say "oh that's millions across the fleet!" without accounting at all for consumer satisfaction. Like hey, they could save thousands per unit by removing all the passenger seats!

You're talking about tenths of a penny in unnecessary expenses. I'm talking about a few dollars that massively improves the ownership experience.
