i'm gonna go see the orthopedist and hopefully get my splint off
i hairline fractured my upper radius falling off my bike last week, but the break both 1. was too small for them to find without a detailed analysis by a specialist the following day and 2. has been hurting less than the associated road rash itching under the splint, as well as said splint pressing against my wrist bone when i try to type, so fingerse crossed that they don't need to put me in a cast. i'm definitely open to taking some time away from gravel biking but i have a show coming up on july 24th and would really like to be able to play keys at it.
that being said, because it's a splint and not a cast, i've been having some fun telling people i got bitten by a radioactive mummy and am rapidly turning into marvel's shittest superhero, so i wouldn't mind milking that a bit more. but i'd generally be more stoked about just regaining the full use of my arm.
My 3d printer is cooking up a batch of Tyranid models and it's raining all weekend. Just a few more hours of work to get through. Aw yis

Getting ready to set off to Dunster for the week, got a four hour drive ahead of us! Glad to be away, had the kitchen wall taken down in the week, like living on a building site.
My coworker keeps calling it Frislay and I want to die inside. Bloody zoomers...
But otherwise, it's a great weekend of nothing at all and I am all about that.
Won't lie, I have not had the best week! Really looking forward to just having a bit of a relax, which is not my strong point and I'm usually busy with about five things at once but this weekend it is officially necessary.
We started the weekend early with ordering pizza last night, we're gonna continue watching horror films from the list my friend recommended to us, and I'm going to lose myself in some non-essential sewing. Vague plans to meet up with my mother have been postponed, thank god.
Yes! It's an old friend's birthday, so going to make the pilgrimage down to visit.
With Covid and the birth of my daughter we've not been able to see each other much over the last few years, but I was determined this year. Not least because I'm desperate to get away briefly. Love a good road trip.
Pizza tonight, putting up shelves and then a meal out tomorrow night. Anything else will depend on the weather.
