Jesus Christ. That’s probably one of the most brutal videos I’ve seen yet. The FPVs are nuts.
Seriously, we witnessed the literal last instant of life in their eyes, from about a foot away.
And what's more, there was a follow up drone to capture the aftermath.
I must be too tired from this war, and have seen to much already to be affected by graphic videos of this war... when it comes to Russian soldiers dying. I really had not thought that would matter. Human life being a human life. Russian soldiers probably not having a say in the matter. But still... I... Don't mind seeing Russian soldiers dying in Ukraine. Yes, it's terrible. I would prefer if they could turn around and go home to their families. I would prefer if they surrendered and didn't have to die for a lousy cause. After that, sounds like good riddance.
Graphic description warning: The video that most affected me was a Russian soldier alone in a trench, trying to shoot down a drown hovering over him. The grande exploding next to him. He then tries to move over, but his leg is shredded and just... Folds. He lays there. Then decides to meet the likely conclusion with his own rifle. That one got to me.
how useful/necessary is finishing off wounded soldiers? wouldn't they already be out of the fight? either requiring resources from the enemy to be saved or dying on their own if left untreated? also, isn't it a war crime to attack wounded troops?
isn't it a war crime to attack wounded troops?
You have to be actively surrendering, and it has to be suitable conditions to surrender.
Other than that... killing foreign soldiers invading your country takes priority over walking over there and checking their pulse, or leaving them be in order to monitor whether they are pretending to be hurt, waiting it out, or resting, etc.
