This is in response to the rather popcorn attracting spill it all email from the other day. Interestes to see if this all gets proved false what will happen to the person that wrote the email.

This article contains no information about why someone would target him, what makes the email a poison pen, or what other types of harassment police believe this man has been targeted with.

It's basically just the headline. If anyone has some background on this I would love to know more without having to actually research who this guy is.

With the greatest of respect: the guy was Chancellor of the Exchequer for years. It seems reasonable to assume people know who he is in a UK politics forum. (edit: sp.)

I can totally appreciate that contextually people would assume his title and other important background information based on their regional knowledge and understanding.

For all the words in the article they do very little of explaining the incident, it's newsworthiness, or the relationship of the parties involved. I think it's just a bad article considering I learned more from short replies like yours than I did from the article!

Here’s a dump of the full email. It’s a bunch of accusations about his affairs with young girls, and possible rape. https://pastebin.com/raw/3DRZpzDP

Thank you so much. I suspected there was a really good reason why he was getting lit up.

He is the ex Chancellor of the UK.
