It's definitely been a bit slower than kbin.social, though that might be caused by me living really close to the .social server, is this hosted in the US?
I enjoy not seeing the horrible bigoted magazines on my timeline. Kbin.social really needs to start moderating. I like how the All timeline is mostly stuff I'm interested in as well, because we're all mostly queer. Topical Kbin instances are even cooler than topical microblogging instances
My biggest pet peeves honestly have more to do with the Kbin platform than with how the instance is set up, like incomplete federation (from my small observations that's not a fedi196.gay issue, kbin.social has issues like this too), the lack of a mobile app, and the bad UI/UX in some places (like when I try to upload an image post, wow is that interface impractical).
Despite all these issues, I'd like to thank you for maintaining the instance. It's really cool that there is a continuation of 196 on Kbin! It's not perfect but it is still very good and cool
