@lemmy.worldTLDR:
Check out RepurposedDattos.reddit.com to collaborate on Datto devices!
My main goal is to get these to people who can use them and save them from the landfill. Check out the inventory in the link above and let me know if you're interested. Some of the Datto ALTO 3 V2 units are missing SATA cables and case bottoms. I can't do anything about the cables, but I will 3D Print case bottoms for those without. when I run out I can provide full 3D print cases. Links to the .STLs are listed below for free if you want to DIY.
I have some AC adapters, RAM, and drives so you can have a complete unit shipped to you. Just pick and choose matching components from the Sheets to build it. I get these from other sources so they come and go.
Please check the very bottom of the post for answers before asking a question.

Please see Google Sheet (#1 in TLDR) to view inventory status. If all units of a model are sold out, I will strikeout/remove that item above.
These units are sold as-is. I cannot guarantee how long they will last. I don't know where/how all of this equipment was used. This is why I test 100% for functionality before listing them.
I use Passmark's CPU Benchmarks to get a reference for these units. I've plugged in the CPUs of some listed above.
User reports these units work on a wide range of voltages, perfect for battery use
I have WiFi Antennas for the WiFi models (ALTO 2 & S3X1 WiFi) available for $3. These are the ones I got
m.2 A+E card to Ethernet adapter works with Datto ALTO 3 V2 if you want to turn one into a router.
Tested Adapter with RTL8125B chip.
m.2 SATA Expander cards work with the Datto ALTO 3 V2's m.2 slot if you want to turn it into a NAS.
Tested Expanders with both JMB575 & JMB585 chips
All DDR3 devices will come with 2GB each unless requested otherwise.
Here's an AC Adapter I've bought works well:
WiFi/BT m.2 I’ve been referring (non-affiliate link)
Datto BIOS password: R@str
One user reported a Celeron 3855U. I functionally test 100% of units, but not each unit's hardware specs if they are visually identical.
I no longer have OEM case bottoms for any Datto devices.
Datto ALTO 2 units lack 2.5" drive holder. 3D Printed piece will be available for $1.
FREE 3D PRINTED FILES. You're welcome to save a couple dollars and print these components out yourself.
Bottom case screws for the Datto ALTO 3 V2 are M2.5 x 40mm with a pan/flat head.
Bottom case screws for all Datto units (except ALTO 3 V2 & S4X1) are M3 thread. OEM screws have rubber heads that act as feet. I bought socket-head cap screws to use with the 3DP bottom cases which sit inside, letting the case rest directly on the surface.
See Mr. Chromebox for updating ChromeOS or installing Windows, Linux, or Kodi
WiFi Card for ALTO 3 V2. I tested one of these second hand. There are kits on Amazon that come with antennas.
Full 3D Printed case is available for $7.50. It's expensive but it's because I made it extra thick for strength and use heatset inserts.
3D Printed case bottom only is available for $2.50 while there are half-cases available. Unless specifically requested, either the 20mm or 40mm version will be provided depending on screw availability.

These units are sold as-is. I cannot guarantee how long they will last. I don't know where they come from. I’ve said in earlier posts on reddit, I get them from a metal scrapper who doesn't know computers. This is why I test 100% for functionality before listing them.
I use Passmark's CPU Benchmarks to get a reference for these units. I've plugged in the CPUs of some listed above.
MiniPCs with limited components (more working units than bottom cases, 2.5" SATA cables) will be sold complete by order priority until I run out, unless requested otherwise.
I don't have many 2.5" drive screws. Sorry.

The Realtek RTL8111 Dual-NIC in many of these models is compatible with FreeBSD, which means they will work with OPNsense and pfSense

I bought this cable for an IcyDock MB699VP-B V1 only to discover by multimeter that it is missing the #PERST and #REFCLK+- pins.
I can't test it but I believe it's good for SAS4 use.

Is this that something that someone will want? Or is it so niche that I'm unlikely to find a buyer? I bought it months ago so while I am waiting for a reply but it's unlikely that the seller will accept a return/refund.
