I don't understand why people find DuckDuckGo a good alternative. It's better for privacy yes, but the search results are just as useless and unrelated because they're based on Google which is just a big ad server now. Every result is find 10 "XYZ's" on Amazon or Walmart, or the other results for different companies.
The problem is even if inflation should be letting up retailers are continuing to raise prices without cause just to bolster record profits. Looking at you Kroger.
I gave up reddit. When Infinity announce a subscription I was done. I didn't want go through all the hassle getting an app key in whatever way when this is easy. Also Reddit CEO is a piece of crap, like pretty much all CEOs.
Incremental changes have muffled the impact to most consumers sadly and as long as that works they'll keep doing it.
