@lemmy.worldEverything I read about this implies Bungie was making all the decisions. Also Bungie signed the contract with that clause in it.
I don’t like Sony but sounds like they’re mostly not to blame.
Those aren’t new subclasses. Just new supers for one subclass on each class.
A whole new subclass would be a new element like Strand was in Lightfall.
The key art they released for the episodes shows Vex, Scorn, and Hive.
I’m not sure what we’ll do with the vex but I’m guessing we’ll deal with The Fanatic (he’s still alive I think), then Xivu. The Vex art was red so I’m really hoping for the return or SIVA or a new subclass.
Doubt we’re getting a new engine or a new Destiny game till after Marathon releases.
Yeah those were part of it too. Luke Smith specifically pointed out this gun in their justification for Sunsetting. It was really all of those pinnacle weapons that were basically exotics but not exotics that had no competition whatsoever.
The random roll guns this season have much crazier rolls. I might do a write up on those later.
I can’t speak to controlling those LFRs because there’s only 2 of them in the game and the second one came out after the LFR nerf.
I wish I played my Warlock more to enjoy Cenotaph. It’s such a good exotic. It’s a shame more of the other gun focused exotics don’t have the utility. Hard to beat spawning heavy ammo though.
EDIT: if they let no backup plans work with every subclass it would be a top tier Titan exotic.
Don’t know yet. My guess is they drop from one of the seasonal activities or you have to focus a random engram at riven first.
Yeah I mean seasons get locked in like 3 months out so it can't be super different.
I audibly groaned when it asked me to do Blind Well. They did refresh those guns so maybe there's something worth going for there. I haven't looked yet.
