@lemmy.worldI’m pretty sure they’re making it up as they go at this point. This wasn’t planned till the end of last month after all.
Bungie can’t balance Titans. Titan classes are either:
Super Broken like launch Behemoth and Banner of War
Utterly useless like current Behemoth and Fist of Havoc.
It’s also because like all encounters don’t require you to move during damage.
I can think of three other encounters where Well is just “less useful”:
Like if they made more encounters like Rhulk where you can’t just stand still and hold RT then Well wouldn’t be as OP.
Yeah. RIP bonk hammer. Banner of War needed a nerf though. It's too strong right now. More nerfing to PVE ability uptime because they make PVP suck is getting tiring. Also, it's abundantly clear that when Bungie invented Well of Radiance they thought it would be gone w/ Destiny 3 after like 2 years. They can't design encounters where it's not useful in some capacity.
If we have to keep nerfing fun things to combat power creep then maybe it's time to rip off the band aid and make a new game.
As a Titan main, Stasis changes aren't moving the needle for me either. Maybe whenever we get this "Frost Mail" added.
I think youtube might be your best bet unfortunately.
The issue is that I don't think that kind of info is surfaced in the API, so someone manually has to enter it somewhere and sites like light.gg aren't going to do that. The D2 community overall seems to be taking a break right now too.
This community is relatively new and small and I think our engagement with the game will pick back up at the new season and TFS so you might see more content like that on here come then.
Yeah last week took the wind out of everything. It's also almost 3 weeks till this starts. Feels like they might have pushed out the news earlier to recover. Normally they haven't been announcing the new season till like the day before.
I agree but also if TFS doesn’t do well then I think it might literally kill the studio or lead to more significant layoffs so there’s more incentive to deliver.
We know they can deliver. Just a matter of if they will and if they’ll fuck up again (probably will).
When they showed off Lightfall in 2022 they literally said Destiny 2 will continue after TFS. So yeah since then people expected it to continue. I think a lot of people (myself included) were skeptical of the sustainability of that because of the issues you mentioned.
Prior to that announcement I was sure they were going to put out D3 or do something like an engine rework.
