When posting from Lemmy in my profile I can look for all of my posts but when I reply to a comment from, let's say, a Mastodon account is not shown as my post because it was created from another account. Is there any way to link my accounts, at least in Lemmy, to show that all posts from a different account belong to the same person?

Are you the one at your family that knows about computers? The one that everyone else ask to convert a picture to pdf, rotate it or any other picture related task? Or just scan a document because you are the one that knows how to do it? Then welcome to #HRConvert2! From HRConvert2 project : A self-hosted drag-and-drop file conversion server & file sharing tool that supports 86 file formats with 4 color schemes & 13 end-user selctable languages. Sound perfect for me, it will allow me to uninstall al those conversion tools that are rarely used and doing 3 clicks I’ll be able to convert from JPG to PNG or simply compress some files to my preferred format (rar, tar, zip …). A beautiful perk is that my family members will do the work by themselves 😌 https://www.bit-man.guru/posts/hrconvert2-the-magic-is-here/

#Hello Fediverse! Don't you hate to install manually every single self hosted piece of code? Some time ago I bought a #raspi4 to host all services at home and happened that overusing the micro SSD left me with no server at all (more in a future post) and had to start over from scratch. Not only had to adapt everything again but with not much spare time to do so it became a real struggle. This time I decided to automate every piece of install no matter what The results is very interesting because is not only a bunch of scripts in a couple of repositories (very handy indeed) but that I was able to solve some interesting problems like automate OS install, setup a simple #kubernetes service to easily add more hardware, expand to new machines or even replace them with new one and in the process tackle multi-image creation Want more of this stuff ? Just follow me for exciting good news. More information at my profile page. For the complete welcome message look at https://www.bit-man.guru/posts/tac-hello-fediverse/

I'm reaching you all asking for advice. Given the recent news about some social networks attempting to rule my/our content I want all of it to be free forever. To avoid vendor lockout I've decided to host all my tweets and Reddit posts in my own site. Probably will delete original posts too, but not thought about it much yet Do you think this is a good solution to achieve the goal? What issues are present in doing it this way? Should I do it in a different way? What about deleting the original posts after being published on my site? All voices are welcome! https://techcrunch.com/2023/07/05/twitter-silently-removes-login-requirement-for-viewing-tweets/ https://www.theverge.com/2023/7/1/23781198/twitter-daily-reading-limit-elon-musk-verified-paywall https://blog.timowens.io/goodbye-reddit/
