Trying to connect mullvad on openwrt via ssh bridges, ssh-tunnel app installed, openvpn installed, openssl installed, luci-ttyd installed, tried to do as mullvad tutorial said. "ssh -f -N -D 1234 mullvad@185.213.154.117" result was connection reset by peer, i NEED to use ssh bridges since i am in restricted location and cannot connect with other bridges, on my android i successfuly use v2ray bridges but my openwrt router doesn't have enough memory for it installed, i only have ssh-tunnel option for my router
If I am running multiple docker images in an Ubuntu VM and don't want to pass the traffic through another docker image that is connected to Mullvad I can make sure the Ubuntu VM is always connected to Mulvad and that should secure everything. Is that correct?
Recently Mullvad has become extremely frustrating. It constantly disconnects and takes a long time to establish a connection. When it is connected, at times sites won’t load and say I’m not connected to the internet. Also YouTube has become a nightmare, videos freeze every few minutes and often won’t even load (also says I’m offline). Anyone experiencing similar issues or know of a fix?
I’m ready to cancel and stick with Proton at this point.
I know it uses 500kib when a new Tunnel is formed
This doesn’t really bother me as I’ve an unlimited all you can eat data plan And & It doesn’t slow down my speeds
When I watch movies or watching YT In HD it’s smooth, I don’t notice it
I’d love to hear from people that know a lot more about Tech that I do, As a Lot Does go over my head
I’d love to Know the Pro’s & Con’s of using it & should it be left on Automatic.?
Suppose my Linux host already connected to some mullvad vpn server with the official gui app.
Now, it should be able to use some hostname e.g. fk-xyz-wg-socks5-001.relays.mullvad.net:1080
as a socks5 proxy.
But in proxychains you can only use numeric ip. So you can nslookup the above hostname and get something like 10.124.0.x or 10.124.1.x.
Now, suppose I put many of these ip into the proxylist
10.124.0.1
10.124.0.2
...
10.124.0.x
As long as the chain length is 1, the proxychains work fine (which is obvious). But when the length up to 2, it said "socket error or timeout".
So basically I have 3 noob questions.
(1) Is it possible to make above works? How? What should I change?
(2) Am I having some misconceptions about how socks5 works? Can you correct me?
(3) If this actually work, what benefits you can get from it. Or it just totally wastes of time and harm other normal users bandwidth.
I am using 10..1.1.X to 10.1.7.x for my internal network. Mullvad is also using a 10.x.xx network but there is no conflict. I am using Opnsense as my router at 10.1.1.2 and have Unbound as my DNS server.
With Mullvad active it does not query my local DNS server at 10.1.1.2 as expected but I am then unable to resolve my internal devices. If I go into the Mulvad settings and add 10.1.1.2 as a DNS server the leak test is failing because it is then forwarding to Cloudflared.
How can I still use a local DNS server for my network but have everything else go through Mulvad?
Mullvad has been working great for me, but unfortunately its just stopped working all together for some reason.
I've got my desktop connected to my internet via range extender, which caused a few DNS issues for me (before downloading mullvad) which was remedied by restarting my main router.
Anyway, I've connected it up to qBittorent and every time I connect there is a 90% chance that the internet will drop (rather than it saying I have no internet, it just keeps loading and times out).
I've reinstalled and have had a basic mess around with the settings but can't get it to work for the life of me. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I just grabbed it for a month to try, but there's serious speed issues I'm having trouble fixing. With other VPn providers I've used, connection speed isn't an issue. I tried following the guide at the mullvad site and set it to Wireguard, using a local server, changed wireguard port, set MTU, made sure multihop was off, made sure obfuscation was off. I'm still getting 900kBps speeds. My line is synchronous gigabit, and I'm running pfsense on a server with plenty or processing power dedicated. I usually hit full line speed. Using other VPN services, I am able to hit about 70-80% of line speed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Tried on all three of my devices, same issue. After I enter my CC information and try to click the Submit button, there is a red circle with a line through it and the submit option is grayed out.
How can I get my payment through? Do they not accept Amex or something?
