Same. On liftoff until Sync releases and then I'll really have to decide which I like more. It might be hard choice though, liftoff is really good (in its early state) but Sync has the benefit of aggregating information and seeing what users want (and knowing that many want what Sync offered for Reddit on Lemmy)
Nope. If they ask "are there any reasons you should not be selected as a juror" you can answer whatever you want. In fact: most judges would prefer you be upfront if you truly feel that way.
We currently allow reposts from Reddit to help get content into the community. It's possible (and likely) this rule could change in the future.
This. The reason I originally joined Reddit was because it solved a problem I had (easily aggregating answers on various topics). That's how we get people on Lemmy.
I think part of it is the location. Off the coast of Greece? Ships pass through all the time, one's bound to sink. Law of really large numbers.
But the Titanic? It's both inaccessible and highly mythologised.
Sure wealth is a factor but it's only one of many.
I don't think good riddance needs to be said
I mean that is it too early to say that the world is a better place without these rich fucks wasting resources?
Is it a bit too soon to say "good riddance"
Like it's awful, people died, that does suck and it is a tragedy... but at the same token, consequences of your actions. If you're dumb enough to get on an unregulated submersible controlled by an old, off brand Xbox controller and dive to more than double it's rated depth.... don't be surprised when things go wrong and you die.
!actuallesbians exists as does !talesfromretail. Though they might need to be searched for on your instance before they're federated.
Hey, I'm interested. I have mostly discord mod experience in ttrpg lfg servers and such (started when pf2e playtest came out) but I have a lot of free time and I'm gonna be spending time on Lemmy anyways, may as well spend it productively.
lemmy.world is the largest english instance currently. I'd say it's much more a flagship instance.
