The prosecution came out swinging. Oddly, Bankman-Fried’s defense didn’t.

We all know by now that ChatGPT is full of incorrect data but I trusted it will no go wrong after I asked for a list of sci-fi books recommendations (short stories anthologies in Spanish mostly) including book names, editorial, print year and of course ISBN.
Some of the books do exist but the majority are nowhere to be found. I pick the one that caught my interest the most and contacted the editorial directly after I did not find it in their website or anywhere else.
This is what they replied (Google Translate):
ChatGPT got it wrong.
We don't have any books with that title.
In the ISBN that has given you the last digit is incorrect. And the correct one (9788477028383) corresponds to "The Holy Fountain" by Henry James.
Nor have we published any science fiction anthologies in the last 25 years.
I quick search in the "old site" shows that others have experienced the same with ChatGPT and ISBN searches... For some reason I thought it will no go wrong in this case, but it did.
When I hide posts in my feed I was expecting to not see them again (as it worked in RIF), but I do see them again if I refresh my feed.
I was a RIF user in Reddit, never used Sync before, so maybe this is working as intended. I hope it is a bug as for me hiding posts should prevent the post to appear again in my feed.
I filtered a community in the filters section in settings but I was still seeing that community in my feed.
So I opened the community and then blocked it with the options in the toolbar.
This worked but the community is not seen in the filtered communities.
So where exactly I see and manage my blocked communities?
EDIT: If anyone search this post later, I think that there is a difference withing BLOCK and FILTER a community.
BLOCK is at the instance level and related to my account in that instance.
FILTER is at the Sync app level.
I have tried both methods and they both meet my goal to stop seeing a community but if is best for me to use FILTER so I can manage this and see a list of what I have blocked in the Sync app.
The disadvantage with this second method is that if I use another app to access lemmy, or my instance, then I will see all the communities that I didn't want.
Not a big deal as it looks like I will be sticking with the Sync app.
