Oh wow that's a whole new kind of awful I didn't know about. Blocking their dash cam with their hood?
Well I know I'm officially on the Reddit alternative when I see a repost from 6 years ago. Body worn cameras have become pretty much standard and dash cameras are of much less benefit once the vehicle is stopped. Yes, putting the hood up to block the camera is obviously suspicious but this is a very old post. It's time to move on to tactics. Used to skew the angle of the bodyboard camera.
And if they try to stop you, let them arrest you but disable your device before they can access it. Then find the local ACLU and return the trouble to the cops
They just smash phones the majority of the time. Unless you’ll be able to automatically update your photo/video to the cloud.
The ACLU has a solution https://www.aclu.org/issues/criminal-law-reform/reforming-police/mobile-justice
It's sad to see how badly the police need more funding, their vehicles braking down en masse like that!
^___^ Some liberal, probably
At whose expense?
Also, trust in the police is at an all-time low, especially among young liberal-leaning Americans.
You're not the only one to miss my attempt at humor. I suspect I have used a format from Reddit that might be obscure in other parts of the online world. I make a statement and pretend like it's a quote from a group or individual I actually disagree with. I am not advocating for police funding, I suggested that the image might elicit such a response from naive liberals.
no dw they're just liberals from federation, for some reason our Late Stage Capitalism community gets boosted
Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using an URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !acab@lemmygrad.ml
Umm, aktually, your phone is digital, my good sir, which means that technically, there is no "film" inside with which to film, only my favorite directors like Judd Apatow use real film 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
There is no record player in my phone... What should I call it then when I use the camera app in video mode? 🎥
Call it whatever you want, just don't leave a comment correcting someone else who also used a valid term.
