This is one of the hardest TNG episodes to watch. Picard was brilliant here. Fuck Gul Madred.
He's such a good captain. Human, but very principled. They really pushed his character in some of these episodes.

If you have a soft spot for 1960s style campiness, go ahead and start with the original series. (That's where I did)
Otherwise, start with Star Trek: The Next Generation and just run with it.
There are probably guides, but just pick a random TNG episode, probably not from season 1 or 2.
More levels than a Constitution-class during that one scene in Star Trek V where they use the rocket boots in the turbolift shaft.
In the spirit of the episode, shouldn't Picard be shouting that there are "FIVE GUYS!" since that's the "truth" and not what the sign is trying to gaslight him into believing?
